Certainly the first and overwhelming impression of the twenty.23 is an open, engaging and communicative loudspeaker. Its size defies both the depth of bass and scale of presentation by taking any music or film material in its stride. The sound is vivid and dynamic and delivered with authoritative bass. Close your eyes and their location dissolves.

"I have only just upgraded from my FB1+ speakers so they are probably not run in yet. I have noticed the improvement in sound quality, particularly around the handling of the lower bass which is more tightly controlled, but not restricted. The twenty.23s are also significantly smaller than my FB1+s which is a plus as they don't dominate the room and there is no detriment to the bass extension. PS I love the look in Walnut, a great piece of furniture which is a bonus and not something you can say about the majority of speakers Peter"

"I have the 23s connected to my Audio Research Ref 5E SE, in mono block with Bel Canto Ref 1000 M, source is Cyrus Streamer and Cyrus XTSe with PXSR , speaker wires are Tellurium Black, interconnects are XLR Atlas Hyper, Digital i/c is Atlas Hyper too. I love the sound of the tube preamp mixed with the Class D amps. The 23 is a HUGE improvement over my earlier speaker which is a Spendor SA1. I play a lot of smooth jazz and pop, e.g. Fourplay, Grover Washington, Kirk Whalum, Bob James, some pop mostly 80s, e.g. ABC, U2, The Cure, Earth Wind, and Fire,etc. I love the 23s because the the combination between the highs and lows suits the music that i listen to. Not too sharp on the ears, and not to low so that the bass bounces in my 20' by 30' music room. Great job PMC."

"This twenty 23 are set up in a medium 28 sq meters room, joined to an Electrocomaniet ECI-5 120x2 W, a CD Denon DCD alfa-S-10 II and a turntable Project II Expression via Project Phono Box DS and improved with Project Speed Box SE II and other accessories. As obviously good chosen wires to connect all of them. The ampli has reach a new second life after ten years of use by changing "only" the old Mission loudspeaker I was using before. Twenty 23 really ar offering clear highly detailed sound with a dry and well defined bass line, the tone balance is very neutral with the mix of equipments and room , not only me but my whole family can stay long by hours only listening music without ears fatigue...that's the more important thing at all. I'm really very glad of my purchase"

Sound quality is of paramount importance to me both at work and at home. I can honestly say that my PMC Twenty.23's are the smoothest, most transparent and accurate speakers I've come across. The standout feature to me is their pinpoint accurate imaging. One big benefit of the front-ported ATL design which isn't widely advertised, is very easy placement and my '23s' sound particularly good very close to the rear wall. Overall, I'm thoroughly pleased with the purchase and will be looking to add further Twenty series components in the fullness of time."
