Tea...with Kate Moss

Project Audio Specify PMC twenty Speakers For Cosmetics Launch

PMC's twenty speakers provided the musical backdrop to a recent fashion launch in central London when cosmetics giant Rimmel unveiled 12 new Salon Pro nail polishes in association with Kate Moss, the current 'face of Rimmel'. To model the new polishes and to give nail care tips, Kate was at the launch, which was held in the Café Royal off Regent Street and billed as 'afternoon tea with Kate Moss'.

London-based sound system specialist Project Audio were engaged to provide the music system at the launch, which was particularly important as the 12 different nail polishes in the Salon Pro range are named after Kate Moss's favourite kinds of music (she wore 'Punk Rock' during the launch). Claire Munnelly of Project Audio explains their choice of speaker: "We supply a lot of audio equipment to for high quality events — some of Kate's favourite music was played throughout the launch as it has significance for the Salon Pro range.

"We use PMC pro speakers in our recording studio in Crystal Palace and really liked them, and we knew that PMC's domestic range also sounds great. The launch event company were very keen that we use speakers that could have fitted into Kate's apartment — they wanted a really sleek, discreet-looking domestic look, not the kind of typical PA speaker that you would find at events. The Amarone-finish twenty speakers were perfect and helped to create just the right atmosphere."
