PMC's new HQ

In a strategic move to position PMC for the future and facilitate its ambitious growth plans - with expansion into new markets and the need to enhance capacity in research and development as well as sales and marketing - the business has acquired new headquarters and administrative premises.

Holme Court near Biggleswade, in the English county of Bedfordshire, is a Georgian style mansion set in five acres of mature ground built in the 1860s. It retains many of its original features such as an impressive central staircase and high-ceiling rooms. Located close to London Stansted airport, just 44 miles from London, it is perfectly situated to showcase PMC as a leader in the global audio industry.

PMC is to commence immediate restoration works, which are planned to take three to four months before moving the R&D, sales and marketing, and administration functions to the new facility. Great care and attention will be paid to ensure a sympathetic restoration is undertaken, enhancing the facility and renovating much of its Georgian charm.

The specific requirements of each department will be catered for during the renovation and restoration work, with PMC in the enviable position of being able to specify its exact requirements and incorporate bespoke features into the centre. Dedicated demonstration rooms will be built for domestic hi-fi and professional audio and the R&D department will be bolstered by greatly enhanced facilities.

Speaking on the day the purchase was agreed, Peter Thomas, owner of the company, said, “We have seen sustained growth from both consumer and professional audio sectors year on year and the introduction of new models and new technologies has boosted demand globally, with the reaction to the twenty series, the new fact.12 and the active twotwo range nothing short of phenomenal.” He concludes, “We have a range of extremely exciting projects we can now bring to market with the expansion of the headquarters. We look forward to welcoming clients old and new to visit us in this beautiful new setting in the coming months.”
