Capitalising on its impressive year-on-year growth and bucking the trend of many hi-fi companies, PMC Limited is reorganising its International Sales Division to drive further growth opportunities. Key to its expansion is the appointment of Mike Picanza in January as international sales manager with responsibility for the northern hemisphere.

MIke brings to PMC considerable international sales experience, gained with Chord Electronics, KEF,and latterly in the UK where he headed up the Dynaudio International operation. An Italian and French speaker, he will be working with the company’s distributors across the northern hemisphere (excl. USA and UK) to build the business in the professional, consumer and CI markets.

Andy Duffield, previously responsible for ROW sales, has moved to the role of international sales manager, southern hemisphere. Andy will focus on business development in the strong growth areas of South America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, where last year the business saw a significant increase in turnover.

Commenting on the reorganisation, Miles Roberts, Managing Director of PMC, said, “We have seen considerable growth across all business sectors over the past year, with a particularly exceptional performance in the Far East. With this trend set to continue for the foreseeable future it made sense to bolster our international distributor support by increasing our sales management function.”

“Mike is well known in the world of professional and domestic audio, having worked for some of the leading brands. His appointment to this newly created position, and the wealth of experience he brings, will provide PMC with the expertise and drive necessary to drive the business forward in this, our 20th anniversary year.” Mike Picanza commented, “I have watched the phenomenal growth of PMC from the outside for the past few years and have been impressed by what I have seen. To join such a dynamic team during the company’s 20th year is a fantastic opportunity for me and I look forward very much to working with its management and international distributors to help drive the business’ growth.”
