New PMC Office & Demo Studio In Nashville

PMC, the Professional Monitoring company, is marking a significant increase in U.S. sales by opening a new office in Nashville, a city renowned for its musical heritage.

With a client roster that already includes acclaimed music and film industry luminaries such as Grammy Award winners Tommy Vicari, Tony Maserati, Pete Lyman and David Reitzas, PMC is keen to improve customer access to its extensive range of professional monitor products, particularly the larger models such as the IB2S-XBD-A and the new MB3-XBD and BB6 monitors that were launched earlier this year at NAMM.

To this end the new Nashville office, which will be officially opened on July 13th during Summer NAMM, will include a fully operational studio where clients can demo the entire spectrum from compact to the large systems and even use the facility to mix their own projects.

“We want to expose as many people as possible to the power and clarity of PMC products, especially our flagship models that are best heard in an acoustically accurate studio environment,” says Maurice Patist, PMC USA's President of Sales and Marketing.  “We hope that recording professionals will come in and really put our monitors to the test by mixing their own projects through them. We will also be running events with local music technology colleges so that the next generation of audio engineers can experience PMC quality for themselves.”

The new Nashville office and studio will be headed by PMC USA product manager Jordan Shirks, who joined the company’s U.S. team in 2015 after spending six years with console manufacturer API. A Nashville native, Shirks has extensive music industry contacts and is widely respected as a producer and engineer. He will work closely with Patist who heads up the company’s Californian head office, and with PMC Nashville dealer Vintage King, which already represents the smaller speakers in PMC’s range such as the popular twotwo series.

“It is very exciting to be spearheading PMC’s East Coast expansion and I am looking forward to introducing a lot more people to this great brand,” Shirks says. “PMC’s precision and attention to detail allows us to deliver monitoring products that professionals really need and want, but also something that they truly benefit from as well. When people hear PMC monitors for the first time they are invariably blown away by their imaging, depth and clarity (the qualities that make PMC monitors an invaluable recording, mixing and mastering tool). We have an incredibly loyal customer base whose passion for our speakers is contagious. Maintaining relationships with existing clients and giving potential clients a chance to experience the PMC difference is what our Nashville studio is all about.”

Located in Berry Hill, in a building that has been converted into studios, PMC’s new stereo mixing facility is equipped with IB2-XBD and MB2 main monitors and the full range of twotwo nearfield monitors. It also houses a Pro Tools rig and an extensive range of high-end converters and outboard equipment, including some esoteric analogue boxes. The studio, which has its own entrance and car park, is primarily a mixing studio but also has access to a vocal booth in the adjacent facility.

“Nashville is the perfect location for this facility because it is currently experiencing a surge in popularity amongst music industry folk,” Maurice Patist adds. “A new generation of studio owners, producers, engineers, composers and singer/songwriters are flocking to the city and making it one of the most vibrant scenes in the USA. PMC is delighted to be part of this growth and we’re looking forward to an exciting future.”

PMC’s Nashville Open House party takes place on July 13th 2017, with Dave Cobb and Pete Lyman officially cutting the ribbon. Anyone who would like to attend should register via this link. https://pmcnashville2017.eventbrite.com

PMC will also have a presence at Summer NAMM on booth 123 where a range of the company’s high-end monitors will be on show, including the newly launched MB3S-XBD-A monitors and the ever popular twotwo series. The booth incorporates a demo room where visitors can hear the awesome power of PMC for themselves.
